As always we say Gmail is the only best solution when it comes to webmail. Now Gmail have a feature which allow to send sms from Gmail chat box. One can easily send text sms from its Gmail account by doing little settings in ‘lab’ option of setting menu in Gmail.

How to activate ‘Send SMS From Gmail’ feature in Gmail account?

This is a pretty easy task and anyone can set this feature on. To do this you need to login to Gmail account and once you log’s in you need to enable the sms chat function in setting of Gmail. To do so follow the given steps:-

1. Look for the ‘Gear’ icon in Gmail account which is located at right upper corner of Gmail.

2. Click on gear box and a drop down menu will  open.

3. Find ‘Setting’ option in that drop down menus and select it.

4. Once you select the setting menu you will be directed to the ‘Setting’ tab where you can find different setting option for Gmail e.g. General, Labels, Account, Filters, Chat etc

5. Find out the ‘LAB’ option from setting tabs and open it.

6. Once you open the Lab menu in Gmail setting section; look for the ‘SMS (text messaging) in Chat’and ‘Enable’ it.

7.Once you Enable this function, don’t forget to save the changes you have made in Gmail account lab settings.

8. Now head on to your inbox and and find the friends from your chat menu. This can be found at left side of Gmail account below the title Chat and SMS

9. Now select the name of friend to whom you want to send the sms. As you hover the cursor over the name of friend a new window will be open and you can easily found ‘Send SMS’ option from that window. Now click on that send sms option and Gmail will ask you to enter the mobile number of your friend, after you enters the number you are free to send a text sms to your friend whenever you want.

Limitations of this system?

there is only limitation to this service is that you cant able send the sms on all networks that are possibly available on earth planet. To find out supported mobile networks click here .

There are chances that your friend might reply back to you but he will be charged for his text sms.

This is a child play. Gmail allow to play mp3 files in inbox only. Google does have inbuilt  mp3 player. To listen mp3 song just open the mail that contain desired mp3 file, you will find and ‘Play’ as well as ‘Download’ link below the name of mp3 file. Just press the play link and a pop up window will open and your mp3 songs will begins to play.

Just do a simple SEARCH with “label:unread” in the Gmail search box and  you will find that all unread massages are brought together by Gmail in the result page of that search.

Gmail is featured with many such tricks that reduce users work. Here when we do the search with “label:unread”, Gmail automatically filter out all unread massages for us.

Gmail is a free online service from Google Inc. As most product of Google are valuable and userfriendly Gmail is one of them. It is is getting more and more popular among the internet users as one of the better webmail provider. To sign in or login to Gmail, one has to visit homepage of Gmail at Gmail Login Page. Signing in Gmail is very simple thing to do in this world and one can feel that it is just child play. Any one who uses internet on this world planet probably have Gmail account and know how to sign in to Gmail, it’s a easy task to do but many of us own multiple Gmail Accounts, then when you switch between your Gmail accounts, you need to login and log out every time when you think to switch to another Gmail account. Once you finish adding new Gmail accounts to your primary account, in future you will be able to switch between Gmail accounts without sing in and log out procedure. As per Google, one can able to add 10 accounts together.

• Second option is require you to have fire fox browser, which allow it’s users to add external ‘addons’ to enhance its functionality. As far as considering Gmail sign in option for multiple accounts we will be considering mostly popular add-on fire fox called as ‘Greasemonkey add-on for firefox‘

Once you installed the Greasemonkey add on; next thing one need to to do is to install ‘Userscript‘
After completion of installation process one can easily sign in to multiple Gmail accounts or any Google account. Once you sign in to Gmail account you can see a drop down menu on the right side of Gmail where you can add new Gmail accounts. Whenever you want to switch account, select the account from the drop down list and this user script with Greasemonkey will automatically sign in Gmail accounts without having to log out from the current Gmail account.

This second trick actually works on many Google services like GMail, Google Apps, Google search pages, Google Reader iGoogle, Picasa Web Albums etc and much more…..
